Inside your R7.
Tune band boundaries. Redraw the display. Edit the bytes behind it all. A local workspace for your own firmware.
Everything runs in this browser.

Open your firmware
Known R7 v153.150.127 files unlock the mapped editors. Any binary can be opened in the raw editor.
- Band starts and ends
- Text and bitmap resources
- Scan animation and GPS database
- Every section and every byte

Explore editing and review with invented bytes. No firmware needed.

Local sessionUse the editors to change mapped resources, or work directly with decoded sections and file bytes. Apply an edit to add it to your downloadable copy.

Modified firmware is experimental and has not been tested on hardware. A valid container does not prove that changed code or radio parameters will run correctly.

Continue editing a previously modified R7 file
Load an unmodified, matching R7 reference to identify the layout after code changes. This checks the reference and section layout; it does not verify your modified bytes or hardware behavior.

Band boundaries
DSP tableEdit the 33 mapped start and end frequencies in MHz, with 0.001 MHz precision. Records can be shared by multiple modes; changing a bound does not establish new radio hardware coverage.
Offsets refer to the decoded DSP section.
| Record | DSP offset | Type | Start MHz | End MHz | IF constant (raw) |
|---|
Text resources
Fixed-size stringsEdit printable text within its existing storage. Candidates can include diagnostic messages and code-adjacent data. Format placeholders must remain intact.
Common display labels

Graphics & bitmaps
Preview, import, paintReplace mapped images, inspect font glyphs, or select a custom bitmap range. Coordinates are decoded section offsets. Apply a preview to write it to the firmware.
Scan motion
20 frames × 8 columnsEach cell chooses a scan tile level from 0 to 4. The motion table lives in compressed startup data; applying an edit rebuilds that data within its existing allocation.
| Frame | 1 | 2 | 3 | 4 | 5 | 6 | 7 | 8 |

GPS camera database
LRDB recordsAdd, edit, or remove records. Applying changes rebuilds the database, updates its count and date, and sorts by descending latitude. Existing flag fields remain available to edit.

Every byte, directly.
Raw / sectionsPatch instructions, constants, fonts, sound payloads, headers, or any other bytes. Unknown structures remain raw. Edits here can invalidate the container or make the firmware unusable.
Search this region
Import / export this region
Section replacement preserves its size and re-encodes it when decoding is enabled. Select the whole file for exact on-disk bytes.
Sound clip directory
ISD3800 clip spans in the decoded sound database. This identifies encoded clip bytes; it does not provide a WAV encoder. Select a clip to inspect or patch its bytes.
Insert / remove whole-file bytes
Uses absolute file offsets and encoded bytes, regardless of the selected region. Length fields and addresses are not automatically repaired.
Review & download
Your download includes applied edits. Fields or image previews awaiting Apply are not included. Keep the change manifest with your edited copy.
What actually changed
ORIGINAL → CURRENTCompares encoded whole-file bytes at the same absolute offsets, including applied edits only. After insertion or deletion, shifted data also counts as different; this is not an aligned comparison. A dash means no byte exists at that position.
The current bytes match your input exactly.
Applied operations

Experimental firmware edits. Container and profile checks are structural checks, not hardware validation. Keep your original firmware and use your established update procedure.
